VS Brain is a Chrome side-panel extension for running structured critique loops between AI chat tabs, comparing answers, and exporting a final review/blueprint bundle.
Summary
VS Brain does not sell user data. VS Brain does not send your chat prompts, AI responses, conversation history, conversation URLs, or exported file content to VS Brain servers.
Data stored locally (in your browser)
- User settings and selected providers
- Local runtime checkpoints / recovery state
- License state and signed token
- A random per-install device ID, used only to derive a device hash
Data sent to the license / control-plane server
For Pro entitlement, version checks, and minimal operational telemetry, VS Brain may send:
- Device ID hash
- License hash or license status fields
- App version and runtime marker
- Build hash
- Plan (
demo/pro) - Minimal usage event names such as
app_open,heartbeat,session_start,relay_step,export_bundle,upgrade_modal_open,checkout_click, and license activation success/fail status - Operational error codes such as
needs_permission_reloadorlease_renew_failed
Data we never send
- Chat prompt text
- AI response text
- Full conversation history
- Conversation URLs
- Exported archive / final blueprint contents
- Plaintext email (only a hash is stored in the license database, when required by the payment provider)
Payments
Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy. When you click a checkout link, you leave the extension and complete payment through Lemon Squeezy. License/order webhooks are used to update license status.
Remote code
VS Brain does not load remote executable JavaScript into the extension runtime. Remote endpoints are used only for license validation, public config, version config, and minimal telemetry.
